The governors regularly discuss the school policy on school uniform and take into consideration the views of parents/carers, pupils and staff.
To this end the following decisions have been made:
|In Winter, children wear:
Red School Logo jumper or cardigan
White polo shirt
Grey trousers/shorts or skirt
Black shoes with velcro fasteners (until they can tie laces or do buckles)
In Summer, girls may wish to wear a red gingham dress
All children must have a change of clothing to take part in Physical Education. We suggest the following items are kept in school during the week and taken home regularly for washing:
Red School Logo Polo Shirt
Red PE Hoodie
Navy PE Joggers
Black pumps (juniors can use trainers for outside PE)
No earrings can be worn during PE lessons.
Please note – children are currently wearing PE kits to school instead of uniform on their PE days.
With so many pupils in school it is obviously sensible that all clothing and equipment is clearly marked with the owner’s name. While making every attempt to return named items we cannot be responsible for lost property and valuable personal items such as watches and jewellery should not be brought into school. (Children must remove all such items before P.E. lessons, including earrings and must store these themselves – staff cannot look after any such items).
We suggest that ear piercing, if deemed necessary, is carried out during the summer holidays to allow time for the healing process. Staff do not remove jewellery, this being the responsibility of the pupils or parents/carers.
