Bringing out the best in each and every child

Class 7

Mr Stoney is our classteacher and Mrs Wilkinson is our Teaching Assistant.

Class 7 Yearly Learning Overview

Just before the end of the last half term, our Space topic came to a thrilling end with the wonderful spectacle of our very own Joel Mayor creating his very own replica jetpack (with a little supervision from his parents) and bringing it it to show his classmates, as well as giving them the opportunity to wear his jetpack and have their photo taken. This was then followed by our wonderful and very informative visit to Jodrell Bank where the children were able to: learn all about the different types of telescope that are used, the history behind Jodrell Bank, watch some exciting demonstrations, investigate and find answers to questions, play with interactive presentations, watch an amazing show in the Space Dome and even dress up as a spy.

Joel's Jetpack

Many thanks to Mrs Peto for putting us in touch with Mrs Kanani from the Royal Astrological Society who came into school to talk Class 7 all about the careers that you can follow in relation to Space. She also had some great fun with the children involving some Oreo's and the phases of the Moon. A fun way to learn and the children loved it. Thank you Mrs Kanani and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future!!

Cheerleading

At the start of the Spring half-term, the children began their cheerleading lessons and they are doing fantastic. They are learning the skills and routines very quickly and are having lots of fun whilst doing so.
