Bringing out the best in each and every child

Class 8

Mr Stoney is our Class Teacher and Mrs Wilkinson is our Teaching Assistant.

I would just like to inform parents that on Tuesday 21st May, I will be holding an information meeting to talk about our upcoming residential visit to Borwick Hall. This will consist of an explanation of where Borwick Hall is, travel arrangements, what the children will do whilst they are there, sleeping arrangements, expectations and what items of kit the children will need for their visit.

I look forward to seeing you on the 21st.

Regards

Mr Stoney

Reading/Times Tables/Spellings

It is wonderful to see that the children have really engaged with our 'monthly reading bingo' and I hope that this continues to encourage them to develop a love of reading. Times Tables practise is still a key area for us, as is practising spellings on Edshed so please encourage the children to do this regularly.

A Glimpse of What We've Been Doing

In addition to the hard work the children are putting into their Maths and English lessons, the children have really thrown themselves into their investigations during Science lessons on Light as well as Living Things and their Habitats. They have thoroughly enjoyed Geography lessons in which they even got to take part in an Air Force simulation activity deciding on their best course of action if they crash landed in the desert and had to survive. At the beginning of the year, they took part in their first day of Bikeability and the second day will be taking place soon. They have also shown the utmost respect in their performance of our Remembrance assembly.
